You don’t always have the luxury of a shoot. When that happens, sound design can save the day. In this retrospective, it’s the audio that lends new meaning to stock footage.
The new World Touring Car Championship season was drawing near. As returning champs, SEAT wanted to reassure fans that its team of drivers were ready to defend the title. Trouble was, there was no time left for a shoot. Whatever we came up with had to be achieved with stock footage. Several solutions were presented. Ultimately, these two TV spots were preferred for use in different markets.
